Parapithecoid from the Eocene of Algeria; one species described; known from three isolated teeth. Phylogenetic relationships uncertain with some researchers stating that the affinities lie with the propliopithecines while others think that it belongs with the oligopithecines. Estimated body mass around 200 g.
