Anasazia Van Valen, 1994

Archaic mammal known from the middle Paleocene of North America belonging to the Plesiadapiformes family Palaechthonidae; monotypic. A. williamsoni is known only from mandibular and dental remains; type specimen confiscated from a commercial collector and provenance not preserved. Mandibular remains indicate the incisor was reduced in size, uncharacteristic of a plesiadapid. Dental formula unknown.
