Angel, John Lawrence

British-born US anatomist, paleopathologist; student of Kluckhohn, Coon and Hooton at Harvard; affiliated with the Jefferson Medical College (Philadelphia) and later with the Smithsonian. Interested in the skeletal biology of aging, Angel was an expert on the pathologies in the Terry collection, and was a regular forensic consultant to the FBI and US Navy.
