Australo-African Roots Hypothesis

Controversial proposal by Brazilian anthropologist Walter A. Neves that putative early sites in South America (Lapa Vermelha IV, Santana do Riacho 1, Serra da Capivara) contain skeletal material that is revealed by multivariate studies to have an affinity to either Australoid or African material, but not to Asian or Native American populations.
