One of two possible infraorders of the suborder Anthropoidea; contains the Old World monkeys, apes, and hominids. Catarrhine monkeys have narrow noses and fewer premolars than the Platyrrhini, and never have a tail that is prehensile; includes monkeys from Africa and Asia; aka Old World monkey.
