Clovis

Archaeological site found in 1929 near Clovis, New Mexico, dated to 11.5-9 kya, and that contains artifacts known as fluted points of the Clovis tool tradition, and associated mammoth and bison remains. Various other New World kill sites are also termed Clovis sites.
