Archaeological site found in 1973 in Yuanmou County, Yunnan Province, China, dating from 1.7 mya to (more probably) 900-500 kya, and that contains chopper-like artifacts. Hominid remains include surface finds of two incisors and a tibial diaphysis; Yuanmou Man is attributed to Homo erectus. Aka Shangnabang.
