Euoticus Gray, 1863

Prosimian genus to which the needle-clawed bushbabies (or galagos) belong; two recognized species. Found in forest habitats of western equatorial Africa and central Africa. Arboreal; nocturnal; move by vertical clinging and leaping. Small body size, weighs around 250 g. Dental formula: 2.1.3.3; specialized morphology for gummivory includes procumbent dental comb, caniniform upper anterior premolars, and laterally compressed nails with a raised central keel that function as claws. Social behavior may be noyau.
