Galley Hill Man

Fossil hominid found in England in 1888, dated roughly to the Late Pleistocene. The remains are attributed to Homo sapiens, and consist of a nearly complete male skeleton with a stature of about 5 ft 3 in (1.59 m). Some researchers have speculated that Galley Hill Man was the ancestor of the Mediterranean peoples.
