Gilles De La Tourette Syndrome

Multifactorial neurological condition characterized by motor and vocal tics; other behavioral anomalies are common. Onset in youth, usually in the second decade. Diagnosed individuals often share co-morbidity with autism, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and/or attention deficit disorder. About 10% of probands have a family history of the condition; several genes have been implicated. Aka Tourette syndrome (TS).
