Hamy, Jules Ernest Théodore

French physician, physical anthropologist, student of Broca; Hamy translated Lyell’s The Geological Evidences of the Antiquity of Man into French. After 1872, Hamy worked as assistant to Quatrefages, and succeeded his mentor at the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle de Paris. Author with A. de Quatrefages of Crania Ethnica (1882).
