Haplorhini

In cladistic classification, one of two suborders of primates (the other being Strepsirhini) suggested to replace the older prosimian/anthropoid classification dichotomy. Vernaculor: haplorhine. Haplorhines are primates without a moist rhinarium, nostrils surrounded by hairy skin, advanced placentation, etc., and includes the tarsiers, monkeys, apes, and humans.
