Hemiacodon Gracilis Marsh, 1872

Tarsiiform primate from the middle Eocene of North America, belonging to the omomyid subfamily Omomyinae; monotypic. Estimated body mass around 1 kg. Dental formula: 2.1.3.3/2.1.3.3; dental morphology suggestive of frugivory. Some postcrania are known; these fragments indicate quadrupedalism and leaping capabilities.
