Hiwegi Hill

Paleontological site found in 1926 on Rusinga Island in Lake Victoria, Kenya, dated to c. 20-18 mya (middle Miocene), and that contains fossil hominoids that are attributed to Proconsul and Nyanzapithecus, and fossil monkeys attributed to Victoriapithecus.
