Jacovec Cavern

Chamber explored in 1995 at the Sterkfontein hominid site, filled by fossiliferous orange breccia provisionally dated to 4.02-3.76 mya (cosmogenic radionuclide dating). The breccia produced cranial remains (StW 578), isolated teeth, and postcranial remains that include vertebrae, humeri, femora, and clavicles, all provisionally assigned to Australopithecus sp. Cf. Little Foot.
