Kalambo Falls

Archaeological site found in 1953 near the southeast end of Lake Tanganyika in Zambia by J. Desmond Clark, dated to as old as 180 kya (U series). It contains Acheulean artifacts (cleaver) and with a continuous occupation sequence 60 ky long through the later Iron Age.
