Archaeological site found in 1972 near Koobi Fora, East Lake Turkana, Kenya, dated to 1.9-1.88 mya (KBS tuff, Gregory Rift), and that contains hominid remains including KNMER 1470 and several other hominid specimens. Aka Karari Ridge.
