Kell Blood Group

Red blood cell antigens specified by the K gene, antibodies to the K antigen (anti-K). Kell is the cause of one of the forms of hemolytic disease of the newborn and was named after a Mrs Kell, in whose blood those antibodies were discovered. Aka Kell-Gallano blood group, K blood group.
