Krogman, Wilton Marion

US osteologist, pathologist, and growth and development specialist; University of Pennsylvania; president, AAPA (1945-9), fifth Viking Fund medallist (1950). Known for his many contributions to population biology and biometry, and author of two classic compilations, Growth of Man; Tabulae Biologicae Vol. XX (1941) and Child Growth (1972). Krogman was one of five physical anthropologists who participated in the identification of American war dead at Oahu, Hawaii, after World War II.
