Lothagam

Archaeological site found in 1967 by Bryan Patterson south of Lake Rudolf in Kenya, dated to 5.6-5.5 mya, and that contains hominid remains, including a single hemimandibular fragment (KNM-LT/ER 329) the attribution of which is incertae sedis, but possibly Australopithecus cf. afarensis; others have assigned hominoid status to this specimen.
