Meadowcroft Rockshelter

Paleoindian archaeological site found in 1970 near Avella, Pennsylvania, dated to 19-14 kya (controversial radiocarbon dates obtained in 1973-8), and that contains stone artifacts including unfluted points and woven materials. As currently dated, the site antedates most others in North America by 8 ky.
