Mesolithic

Of or relating to the Middle Stone Age of Europe. Mesolithic tool technologies were in use during the period of transition from hunting and gathering to agriculture among populations of Homo sapiens, roughly 14-6 kya. The Mesolithic contained the Azilian, Tardenoisian, Maglemosian, Campignian, and Capsian periods.
