Microchoerus Wood, 1846

Genus of tarsiiform primate from the late Eocene and early Oligocene of Europe belonging to the omomyoid family Microchoeridae; five species. Short snout; body mass for these species ranges from 500 g to 1.5 kg. Dental formula: 2.1.3.3/2.1.2.3; well-developed shearing crests have been interpreted as adaptation for folivory.
