Microcolobus Turgensis Benefit And Pickford, 1986

Colobine from the late Miocene of Africa; monotypic. Very small for a colobine, estimated body mass around 4 kg. Dental formula: 2.1.2.3/2.1.2.3; one of the geologically older colobines, reflected in the poorly developed shearing crests on the molars; it is felt by some workers that this monkey was only partly folivorous.
