Model Law

Prototypical legislation written in 1914 by Harry Laughlin, Director of the Eugenics Record Office, and that was provided to many state legislatures, some of which passed legislation permitting involuntary sterilization of the feeble-minded and other defectives. This document was used by the Nazi Party in Germany to create the infamous 1933 Law for the Prevention of Defective Progeny.
