Montandon’s Thesis

Proposal by G. Montandon in 1933 that the Americas were initially populated by boatloads of people from the islands of Polynesia, specifically embarking from Easter Island (Rapanui), island-hopping, and making a final landfall on the Chilean coast of South America; he also proposed that an Australoid element arrived simultaneously in the form of slaves of the Polynesians.
