Morgan, Thomas Hunt

US Drosophila geneticist; Nobel laureate (1933) and strong critic of Darwin’s gradualist requirement for natural selection. Morgan produced a number of brilliant students, e.g. A. H. Sturtevant, H. J. Müller, and C. B. Bridges, who all worked in the fly room at Columbia University.
