Movius’ Line

Demarcation between what H. Movius considered in 1944 to be more advanced Acheulean hand-ax cultures of Europe and Asia and the alleged sub-standard chopper-chopping tools of southeast Asia; the original line extended in a northwesterly direction, roughly dividing the Indian subcontinent (Acheulean) from the east Asian plateau (chopper-chopping).
