Nachukui Formation

Geological unit found in 1985 in the west Lake Turkana region, Kenya, dated to 2.5 mya, and that contains hominid remains, including KNM-WT 17000 — the black skull of Australopithecus (Paranthropus) aethiopicus — and the young boy of Nariokotome.
