Nannodectes Gingerich, 1974

Archaic mammal of the late Paleocene of the Rocky Mountain region of North America belonging to the family Plesiadapidae; consists of four species. Appears to have been derived from the earlier Pronothodectes. Dental formula: except in the youngest species, N. gidleyi, which lacks the lower canine. Dentition suggests a diet of plant material.
