Natufian Culture

Late Mesolithic culture found in the Levant about 12.8-10.5 kya. Natufians display both nomadic and sedentary lifeways, hunting and gathering during some seasons and exploiting harvested cereals during others. Among the earliest users of sickles and pounding tools. Type site is Wadi el-Natuf.
