Oakley, Kenneth Page

British geologist at the BMNH (London); Oakley is best-remembered for the part he played (with Le Gros Clark and J. S. Weiner) in showing that the jaw and cranium of the Piltdown specimen(s) were from different individuals, using the fluorine test. Author of Man the Tool-Maker (1949) and The Fluorine-dating Method (1951).
