Pech De L’Azé

Archaeological site found in 1815 in France, dated to 103-54 kya, and that contains Mousterian artifacts in the upper occupation levels, and associated hominid remains later attributed to Homo neanderthalensis. The lower levels contain Acheulean artifacts, dated to 162-130 kya.
