Pronycticebus Grandidier, 1904

Adapoid prosimian from the middle and late Eocene of Europe, belonging to the notharctid family Cercamoniinae; two species recognized; one of the species represents one of the most complete skeletons of a cercamoniine. Estimated body mass between 800 and 1100 g. Postcrania suggestive of arboreal quadrupedalism, some leaping, and climbing. Dental formula: 2.1.4.3/ 2.1.4.3; dental morphology suggestive of faunivory.
