Roc De Combe

Archaeological site found in the Dordogne district, France, dating to 39 kya in the upper layers, which contain Châtelperronian artifacts alternating with Aurignacian; lower layers are Mousterian. The site is often cited as providing conclusive evidence that Neandertals and AMHs coexisted in Europe.
