Schultz, Adolph Hans

Swiss-American anatomist, physical anthropologist; Carnegie Institution (DC), then Johns Hopkins after 1925; editorial board of Human Biology (1929); president, AAPA (1932-4); 3rd Viking Fund medallist (1948). Supported the hypothesis that humans and apes were closely related, based on embryological evidence; published many papers on the comparative anatomy of primates. Author of The Life of Primates (1969). Cofounder of Folia Primatologia.
