Todd, Thomas Wingate

English-trained physician and anatomist at (Case) Western Reserve University from 1912-38. Todd was a distinguished osteologist and skeletal pathologist, and amassed one of the largest skeletal research collections in the USA, the Todd Collection. Todd published careful studies of skeletal growth and maturation, especially of the pubic region; his guidelines are still used by forensic anthropologists. Founding member and later president of AAPA (1938). Author of Atlas of Skeletal Maturation (1932), among other works.
