Tugen Hills

Conspicuous north-south topographic feature in the Baringo district, Rift Valley Province, Kenya. The hills have steep slopes with prominent ridges, and rivers flow in deep gullies. Escarpments dominate the eastern and western limits. The feature contains several hominoid-yielding sites that date from 15 to 1.5 mya.
