Uintasorex Parvulus Matthew, 1909

Archaic mammal of the middle and late Eocene of the Rocky Mountain region of North America, belonging to the plesiadapiform family Microsyopidae; monotypic; some authorities assign this genus to the order Insectivora. Maxillary dental formula uncertain, mandibular formula 1.0.3.3. Estimated body mass around 45 g. Small body size and dentition suggests insectivory.
