Rich in late Pleistocene Middle and Upper Paleolithic cave sites such as Abri Pataud, Cro-Magnon, Le Moustier, Lascaux, la Grèze, Cap Blanc, Laussel, Commarque, Combarelles, Font de Gaume, la Mouthe, Laugerie Basse, and la Micoque. Aka Valley of the Caves.
