Würm Glaciation

One of the four traditional periods of glaciation or ice ages that define the Pleistocene epoch during the past 1.8 million years BP. The fourth stage in the Quaternary sequence of the Alpine region, the Würm had a duration of about 70 ky and terminated between 40 and 10 kya.
