Walker, Alan

British born US paleontologist at Penn State; educated at Cambridge. Located and/or co-described several of the hominid fossils in the Koobi Fora region of East Africa, including the Turkana boy from Nariokotome (KNM-WT 15000). Author (with R. Leakey) of The Nariokotome Homo Erectus Skeleton (1993), and (with Pat Shipman and D. Bichell) of The Human Skeleton (1985).
