Acatalasia

Genetic disorder marked by deficiency of the enzyme catalase; manifestations range from mild (ulcers in tooth sockets) to severe (recession of tooth sockets with gangrene of the gums). Two principle forms of acatalasia have been identified: (a) Japanese type, and (b) Swiss type. Aka acalalesemia.
