Adductor Pollicis

Intrinsic muscle of the hand; originates from the trapezium, trapezoid, capitate, and metacarpals II-IV, and inserts into the medial surface of proximal phalanx I. Its action is to adduct and oppose the thumb; one of the thenar group of muscles.
