Adult Form

In genetics and physiology, the form of a molecule that is present in the adult, as opposed to forms present in the embryo, fetus, or other developmental stage. The hemoglobin molecule, for example, is found in three forms during the corresponding stages of development: embryonic, fetal, and adult hemoglobin.
