Ankle Breadth

Anthropometric measurement of distance between the medial malleolus of the tibia and the lateral malleolus of the fibula as measured with either spreading calipers or sliding calipers; the subject stands with feet separated and weight evenly distributed. Used for studies of body frame size and skeletal mass. Aka bimalleolar breadth.
