Assimilation Model Of Human Origins

Variant of the hybrid models of human origins; accepts an African origin for AMHs but disallows replacement or significant migration. Supports local speciation of AMHs as the result of orthogenesis, but allows for gene flow and changing environmental pressures. Advocated by F. H. Smith and E. Trinkaus.
