Behavior Genetics

Study of the patterns of inheritance of certain behavioral phenotypes. Behaviors in humans that exhibit a tendency to cluster in families include Huntington disease, mood disorders, schizophrenia, and Gilles de la Tourette syndrome. The genetic components in these cases may exhibit single-gene effects, but are most often subtle and multifactorial.
