Brain Lateralization

Asymmetry of the cerebral hemispheres, especially in higher primates and most of all in the Hominidae. Lower Pleistocene tools found at Koobi Fora suggest that lateralization of the hominoid brain has an early history, as most of the tools were manufactured by striking a target with a hammerstone held in the right hand.

See hand preference.
