CAMP

Cyclic adenosine monophosphate, a synthetic product of ATP and a mediator of hormone action in mammals; the enzyme adenyl cyclase normally converts ATP to cyclic AMP. Aka genetic regulator. Certain forms of cAMP have been implicated in susceptibility to rapid behavioral changes (in Drosophila) after consuming alcohol.
